Summary The Sadberge Parish Plan has been extended to address the issue of wind farms near Sadberge. It is clear from the results of the wind farms questionnaire that the Sadberge community opposes the construction of wind farms near our village. At its meeting on 16-Dec-2008, Sadberge Parish Council formally adopted the 'wind farms addendum' to the Sadberge Parish Plan (see below) and approved the two supporting documents.

Background At its meeting on 30th July 2008, Sadberge Parish Council agreed that the Sadberge Parish Plan should be extended to cover the issue of wind farms near Sadberge. The Parish Plan Steering Group issued a Wind Farms Background Document giving information about wind turbines and the issues associated with them. Click on the link to view or download a copy of the Background Document in PDF format. There was a Parish Plan Open Meeting on the subject of Wind Farms near Sadberge on Thursday 18-Sep-2008. In the wind farms questionnaire, which was distributed to all Sadberge homes, residents aged 18 or over were asked whether we should oppose or accept the construction of wind farms near Sadberge. The draft addendum was made available on this web site and in Sadberge Village Hall for people to inspect and comment on. At its meeting on 16th December 2008, Sadberge Parish Council formally adopted the addendum as part of the Parish Plan.
