The second theme in the Sadberge Energy Saving Project is electricity use monitoring.

Objective

The aim of this theme is to enable Sadberge households to use "smart" electricity monitors to investigate their pattern of electricity use and identify opportunities to make savings.

Eco-eye electricity monitors

Thanks to a grant from the O2 It's Your Community fund – and a discount from the manufacturers – we now have ten Eco-eye monitors to lend out to Sadberge households.

When you arrange to borrow an Eco-eye monitor you will get:-

(a)   Use of the Eco-eye for two days.
(b) Help with setting it up.
(c) Guidance notes and checklists to show you how to use the Eco-eye to investigate your pattern of electricity use and identify opportunities to make savings.
You can request a loan of an Eco-eye via this on-line booking form.

We are also going to set up a bulk purchase scheme for Eco-eye monitors, so that Sadberge residents who wish to have their own monitors will be able to buy them at a discounted prices.
